First Posting as an ESL Teacher

May 2012 - July 2013

After departing the Gold Coast in May 2012 on a one-way ticket to China, I started teaching at a private boarding school in southwest China: Yinghua School, Nanning.  This is where I first started teaching English as a second language.  At Yinghua School, I taught at elementary, middle and high school level, which gave me a great introduction to teaching English as a second language.  I also facilitated English corner with a number of the high school students (featured above as my profile picture).

Passionate about teaching, I commenced my Bachelor of Education (Primary) with Swinburne Online University in February 2013 and plan to graduate in July 2020 with 75% of my results being High Distinctions.

Where It All Started

In January 2012, I completed my Australian Training Academy in-class component of my TESOL Professional Diploma.  After completion the ball was in motion for my English teaching adventure of a lifetime.
